Matches week 41

Matches week 41

Unfortunately, matches have been postponed and we can neither watch nor play for sometime . In memory of the last match-weekend, we've asked the teams to write a little summary of their matches. This way we can look back a bit to those good old days. Below you can read summaries of Kroton matches that were played in week 41, so that you can think back and have the feeling that you were there! Be sure to check this page regularly as it is often updated with new match summaries, once matches continue again!

Dames 7

Pff... It took a few weeks to come back to reality after summer break! So here is the first match summary of ladies 7. The start was quite rough, for the first time in the 3rd class is not easy. With some new players and the players of last year we had to get used to each other, build trust and train more. Unfortunately our trainer couldn’t coach us, but with some good advice and tips we were going to rock! Luckily Noam from H2 were playing before us and wanted to coach. The first set was taking really long with lots of rally’s. The begin was going good, but lost the set with 25-21. In the second set we had some trouble in the beginning, but came back at the end. Unfortunately we also lost this set with 25-19, but we will not forget the amazing hit from Rosa Lotte, who made an amazing point! About the third set we don’t want to talk… Furthermore the last set, it was now or never! With using each other’s strong points we made it really close and fought till the end and we took that last set with 24-26! Unfortunately 3-1 in sets, but Olympia DS7 see you next time!

Olympia DS7 vs. Kroton DS7: 3-1

Heren 2

On Saturday the 10th of October, in the afternoon, H2 went on a small trip to Selwerd to play against Olympia HS4. The opponents seemed strong and had some good hitters, however, that didn’t phase us. As per usual, we started of a bit rocky as we lost the first set 21-25. We then begun to pick up the pace the sets where on point, attacking was strong, some service aces and killer blocks happened from time to time over the next 3 sets, in which we won: 25-15, 25-21 & 25-22. We ended the game on a good note as we applauded each other for the nice competition. Thankfully, we’ve obtained another win on our record.

Till the next game.
